ALLRAIL Ticketing Priorities Featured in International Railway Journal Article
New IRJ Press Article featuring ALLRAIL Ticketing priorities

ALLRAIL’s ticketing priorities are featured in the latest article by International Railway Journal (IRJ) titled “Europe Gets Set to Make Rail Ticketing Simpler.”

The Article highlights the urgent need for a truly seamless EU rail ticketing market, one that empowers passengers, ensures transparency, and reflects the growing competition in Europe’s rail passenger sector.

It also amplifies the voices of ALLRAIL members, who outlined the persistent market barriers in EU rail during a constructive exchange with policymakers, stakeholders (T&E and BEUC – The European Consumer Organisation), representatives of the European Commission (DG MOVE), and Members of the European Parliament and TRAN Vicepresident Sophia Kircher and Kai Tegethoff.

ALLRAIL President Elmer van Buuren (CEO of European Sleeper) and Board Member Thomas Posch (CEO of Westbahn) clearly set out the case for fair, non-discriminatory access to ticketing data and content and vertically integrated ticket vendors with Significant Market Power, a key precondition for making multimodal and cross-border rail travel truly seamless for passengers.
