ALLRAIL takes part in the Florence School of Regulation’s Smart Transport Conference
Participants at the FSR Academy on Smart Transport Regulation

ALLRAIL was pleased to take part in the Florence Academy on Smart Transport Regulation, organised by the Florence School of Regulation (FSR).

Our colleague Guillem Ochoa i Pérez represented ALLRAIL at this high-level seminar, which brought together key stakeholders from across the passenger transport value chain to discuss the future of EU ticketing regulation, the current ex-ante framework for digital gatekeepers (DMA and DSA), and forthcoming initiatives such as the MDMS, SDBTR, and the potential revision of the Rail Passenger Rights Regulation.

These initiatives are essential to achieving a seamless passenger experience across both B2B and B2C ticketing relations. However, they must also reflect today’s market reality: passenger rail in Europe is no longer a monopoly. New private operators are driving competition and innovation, yet their services still often lack fair visibility on dominant sales platforms.

The message is clear: passengers must be able to find and book every rail service easily and seamlessly, including cross-border journeys.

👉 Heads-up: To continue this discussion, ALLRAIL is organising a Lunch Open Discussion with key stakeholders and representatives from DG MOVE on 5 November at the European Parliament in Brussels.
