The New Statesman has published a new Report on 25th September 2025 on Open Access rail in the country, and our Policy Director John Thomas has contributed to it. This report focuses on the role of open-access operators in the United Kingdom and the ways in which they enhance national connectivity.
“The evidence is clear: open access operators bring in private capital, increase train frequency, raise standards and keep prices down. This is the model that works. This is a model that should be championed by the government and an integral component in the future of Great British Railways“
John Thomas, Policy Director ALLRAIL
