ALLRAIL takes part of a DG MOVE (EC Workshop) on simplifying EU transport rules

ALLRAIL took part in an official workshop organised by DG MOVE and the consultancy responsible for assessing the current administrative burden faced by SMEs in Europe.

Our Legal Officer, Guillem Ochoa, underlined the need to simplify several key procedures that continue to create unnecessary obstacles for smaller and independent rail operators. These include the authorisation of cross-border rolling stock, the reauthorisation of formerly compliant RIC rolling stock, the burdensome notification requirements for new services under the current Economic Equilibrium Test rules, and the additional bureaucracy arising from the new Rail Capacity Management Regulation.

ALLRAIL stressed that reducing administrative complexity is essential if Europe wants a more competitive, innovative and accessible rail market.
