30 September 2025 Our Legal Officer, Guillem Ochoa attended the 2025 annual conference of the Association Française du Rail (AFRA) – the French Association representing new entrants in passenger and freight rail – where discussions focused on the ongoing liberalisation of PSO and Open Access services in France.

ALLRAIL member Transdev showcased the progress of its new services between Nice and Marseille, a concrete example of fresh competition bringing more choice to passengers.

Key issues on the table included how to ensure that the Track Access Model in France truly guarantees fair competition and promotes a more efficient use of existing rail infrastructure – both essential to unlocking the full benefits of liberalisation.
