ALLRAIL’s Katharina Dekeyser takes part in Brenner Pass (Italy-Austria) Action Group Conference: “Digitalising Europe’s railways: what’s in it for passenger and freight?”

On Thursday 17th of November 2022, ALLRAIL’s Katharina Dekeyser and Alvaro Ungurean (from our member Omio) took part in the panel discussion “Passenger Transport – how to enhance the passenger experience through digitalisation?” in the context of the conference organised by the The Aktionsgemeinschaft Brennerbahn – Comunità d’Azione ferrovia del Brennero (AGB/CAB).

The aim of the event was to highlight the role of the railway as a sustainable and future-proof mode of transport for both passengers and freight. In this context, different trends and evolutions were presented and discussed. The event stimulated a general discussion about the digitalization of Europe’s railway and focused on the Brenner axis and its challenges.

Katharina outlined our vision regarding the digitalisation of Europe’s railways. A simple but essential vision: all ticket vendors must have access to all types of data in a fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory manner.
